i had a client bust out with one of these at my desk today! i've never seen such a thing before, it was really interesting.
i guess you can smoke them anywhere because there is no second hand smoke (or smoke at all for that matter). there's nicotine cartriges that release a liquid onto an ottomizer when you inhale, and it produces a vapor that mimicks ciggarette smoke.
so there's the ability to "smoke" anywhere, and there's no harm to others, as well as not having any "bad stuff" (carbon monoxide, tar, cancer-causing chemicals).
i looked it up and you can get the nicotine cartridges in high (like a regular ciggarette), medium (lights), low (ultra lights), and zero (just vapor).
have any of you ever tried these or know anyone who has? i'd be interested to hear what they're like.
i've cut down on my smoking A LOT but i still do now and then. if these things are legit i think it would be a "better" way to experience smoking w/o doing harm to myself or those around me.
crazy, huh??

Nicotine vapor??? Weird! Why the no nicotine ones? What is the point? Just the illusion like a candy cig??

I would think the ones with nicotine are still dangerous. Even though there is no smoke nicotine is the part that's the addictive carcinogenic. Although no smoke might be good because that's where the chemicals are. I guess it's good for those no smoking places.

Seems like a great tool for those (myself included) who enjoy the act of smoking and derive comfort from it, but want to wean off the chemicals gradually and ultimately stop altogether. I'm an on-again-off-again smoker, usually off, but recently on (oops).

I don't smoke myself, but a very close friend of mine who smokes has tried this... and she said, "IT IS SO GROSS!"

I'm still fighting with quiting. I'm on my 2nd month of Chantex and should have been quit by now. I only have one month left! I'm doing better but still haven't quit. I've smoked 4 today! I want so badly to stop. I don't think it's the chemical addiction any more, but more of the physical act of it.
