Anyone need a weight loss buddy? My so called weight loss buddies here at home have decided they aren't interested in losing weight anymore so I'm all on my own. Since May 5th I have lost 14 pounds and I want to lose 21 more. Once I reach that goal I might want to lose more but Iam just tryng to take it one step at a time. I think it's nice when you have other people to check in with, to hold each other accountable and to motive each other. Let me know..

As soon as I have this baby I'll be on board with you!
What is your "plan"? What type of diet and exercise are you doing?

Aww when are you due? Gosh having a baby is what left me with all this extra weight to begin with but they sure are worth it
As far as a plan, I am just eating restricted calories (between 1500 and 1700 a day, just depending) and making sure I make better choices about food. I don't want to be on a diet my whole life and I don't want to tell myself I can't eat something, if I really want it. So I decided I need to learn to make better choices about what I eat, which has been working out really well for me so far. I haven't even really started exercising yet expect all the walks with the baby but I haven't done anything hard core yet!

rachel, there's a low carb experiment thread here too, and one of the ladies who joined the experiment is trying to lose baby weight. she's been really successful on a LC diet and i think at the last update she was at her pre-baby weight and wanted to lose a few more.

Hey thanks for letting me know! I tried low carb awhile back but it gave me really bad tummy issues so I don't think it's meant for me. Sadly...since I liked the diet!

I'm on board! I just got diagnosed with PCOS so I have to start dieting asap to prevent from getting put on meds. I eat pretty healthy and exercise daily but I guess since I have PCOS it is hard to lose weight with a regular diet. My dr. told me that a low carb low sugar diet is what I need to be focused on. So I def. would love to have someone to check in with!

Good plan Rachel. Taking it off slowly is the ONLY way it will stay off. A pound a week is perfect.
I'm not due for another 9 weeks. But I am eating VERY healthy this pregnancy (#4) and have gained 8 lbs so far. But I had extra on me when I got pregnant, so it's really that weight that needs to come off.
I don't plan on strictly counting calories but plan to continue the new healthy eating habits that I have acquired and exercise. Should do the trick.
Keep me posted on your progress! Sounds like you are off to a great start!

Hi Rachel, I could you a weightloss buddy! I joined weight watchers in April and I have lost about 12 lbs so far, like to lose at least another 10-15. Slow loss is good, easier to maintain in the longrun. I'm not weighing in anymore - trying to do ww on my own. I too am eating a lot less carbs and that is making a huge difference! pm me if you want some links to sites I visit for inspiration, recipes, chitchat etc. I find the real trick to sticking to a diet or as I would rather call, sensible eating is to plan it all out. Think about what you will eat the next 2-4 days and make sure you have the groceries on hand. Also, I find I'm cooking more but eating more of what I really like, no point in wasting calories on food that is just ho-hum. Anyway, I'm rambling, good luck!!!

That sounds like a plan to me too. Even though I am not doing a low carb diet, I am still trying to stay away from the bad ones since they have all those empty calories and sugar...and def. trying my best to stay way from sugar too which is hard with my sweet tooth! So about how many pounds do you want to lose?
