Hiya everyone! I had been firmly decided on getting Asha for my ering, but I just read Dippetydog's sim-purchasing post. I wasn't aware that the enhanced moissy's reduced the double-refraction as well as the color. Does that make moissy's more diamond-like than Ashas? I was planning for a 8-9mm stone, if that makes a difference. I thought I was so sure, and now I feel like I'm back to square one. Any input is greatly appreciated!

I asked if someone could post pics in the Asha & MoissCo forum and haven't heard anything yet.

Would love to see Enhanced Moiss and V6 Asha next to each other.

Seems either those on the forums haven't purchased both yet or aren't able to post pics.

Hoping someone from the company could cook something up for us.

lol...i just posted on your thread! i've seen the comparison pics between moissy and enhanced moissy, and the enhanced looks great, but i still want to see how they compare to ashas. hopefully someone can chime in.../crosses fingers

I had a 6.5mm moissy and although it was lovely I didnt think the faceting looked EXACTLY like a diamond would. I do have a smaller half carat that looks sooooo real beacause you can't see the faceting as easily.
I would guess that in an 8mm size, Asha would look more exact to a diamond. JMO
Maybe someone else who's had both in a larger size can either confirm this or tell me I've lost it ;\)

Oh, I'd love to see the comparison too! Does moissaniteco automatically use enhanved moissys now? Or do you need to request an enhanced stone?

this may be a dumb question, but can someone describe the "double-refraction" to me? still shots of moissy's don't really show what it looks like, at least to me they don't. i assume it's something that only shows up when you turn the stone back and forth in light. i "think" i see a kind of blurred edge between facets in moissy pics, but not sure if that's what the double-refraction is. i basically want whatever will look most like diamond, and was curious about moissys since i've read that the cz's window (i assume that even asha's will window, since they still are cz's).
