Ladies,
We are planning on having a relatively small wedding (about 40) people and I am trying to figure out how many bridesmaids/groomsmen we should have. I have 6 very close friends but could also easily have only 2 bridesmaids. What do you think is the right bridal party size for this type of wedding?
Thanks so much in advance!

for such small wedding 2 would be nice. Can u imagine having 40 guests sitting down and having 6 bridesmaid, 6 groomsmen, and you both? now that would be a bit too much. IMHO.
Ps: CONGRATS on ur wedding

We had about 50 people at our wedding and I just had 1 Maid of Honor. I think 2 would be fine. Congrats on your wedding!

Thanks for all your input, ladies! That's what we're going towards as well. My fiance has 2 brothers that he can't choose between so we will probably do 2 each. I'll do my sister and one of my longest, best friends (that I was a MOH for in her wedding).
How do you all feel about not inviting friends that I was a bridesmaid for? I have been a bridesmaid 6 times and only plan on inviting 1 of those friends. I feel bad about it but at the same time, my fiance and I really want a small wedding (out of numerous reasons). Opinions?

I would love to share! I already got my wedding dress. It was the easiest shopping experience for me. I saw the dress in a magazine and fell in love with it... found a store that carried it, went there, tried it on and ordered it. I always thought wedding dress shopping would be stressful but it luckily ended up being just the opposite
As most of you know, bridal stores (well for the most part) don't allow you to take pictures. But here's the link (it's in ivory): http://www.priscillaofboston.com/dress_detail.jsp?gid=40&sfid=50910 I love that veil as well but the bridal shop didn't have it to try on.
I am still not sure what I want to do for the flowers. I change my mind on a daily basis. Hehe. I think (key word) want them to be grand and impressive but still classy and elegant. Suggestions are very welcome.
I'll keep you updated as soon as I figure out anything.
