Hi, I'm new to the message boards. Last week I ordered a custom cut (flanders) 2.5ct alexandrite from BTD. It should be ready in 6-8 weeks...in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone has one that I can see a picture of and if anyone can recommend a setting for it? I am probably going to purchase a setting from BTD and have them set it since I really don't want to deal with the hassle of having to take it to a jeweler. I am leaning towards the micro pave cathedral setting or just a plain tiffany setting. Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much for the response and for the pictures....they were beautiful. I'm so excited to receive my stone and I think I'm going to go with the micro pave cathedral. The ring with the alexandrite and diamonds convinced me.
Thanks again, Ayana

I quickly just looked at the words micro pave. At first glance, it looked like it said microwave!
I was like, "Who's going to put an alexandrite in the microwave?" I either need more coffee or more sleep!

You have some beautiful jewelry for sale...I especially love the pink sapphire earrings...I'm going to have to think long and hard about those as they are calling my name.

That's funny...I think it's actually one word but I'm not sure.

Here's my BTD asscher alex...1.87 carats-7 or 7.5mm (think 7mm but can't remember!) I LOVE it! Setting is 14k wg, with moissanite side stones, ring size 5.25. It has amazing color change abilities, however I could not get them to show up in the pics...sorry for the huge pics
ETA: Blingaling beat me to the link of these same pics!
INSIDE LIGHT PIC

(not scratches you see, smudges from handling)

OUTSIDE LIGHT (and some are a bit fuzzy...sorry!)
