I went to the Doc on Wednesday for what I thought was a fairly routine visit.

I have what are called Tremors in my hands. They shake, in varied levels but always in motion. It started when I was 14 and I have always just dealt with it. But lately it has been much worse, to the point where I cant hold a glass.

My sister's husband & father in law are doctors. So I went to her FIL. I knew he would want to draw blood for tests - no biggie.

Well, I have also been having pain in my kidneys. My BIL thought I had a UTI, I did the prescription - didnt help. Still having pain in my kidneys. Especially when I drink alot of water. I have been so thirsty that only water satisfies me. But then the ain is pretty bad. I have tried cranberry juice, it helps a little bit. The pain meds my BIL gave me, I cant take at work becuz they make me loopy.

I have an irregular heartbeat. It feels like a flutter to me. I have really noticed this this year. It is very consistent - happens all the time.

And I have dizzy spells. I started having them after Emma was born six years ago. I thought it was my hormones settling down after having my tubes tied and childbirth. But they have come back recently. Only during retful or quiet times - like folding laundry or washing dishes. Never stressful times.

So, we are going through a battery of tests. On Wednesday I did an EKG and chest Xrays also blood. Monday I go in to be hooked up with a holter heart monitor for 24 hrs. Then Nov. 2- he is going to do the full body thorough exam.

After all the results come in from everything we are going to sit down with what is going on.

I know that each issue can be treated and I am very thankful to have a doctor who I trust.

Just wanted to put this out there. You ladies have such wonderful advice. Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated.

M2D, I wish I were an MD or more knowledgeable so I could say something medically positive. I feel for you though. As we get older, there is always something to worry about. Good that you're geting care and I hope there something definitive from your results. I will certainly be thinking of you. ((((HUGS))))

I hope you get this sorted out M2D - I know what it's like to have things going on and not have a definitive answer.

I had the holter monitor, the EKG, echo's, stress echo's, TEE and cardio cath over a period of 3 1/2 months, and it was a relief to finally have an answer, even if it was one I didn't want. I hope that you have a better outcome than me, and are able to get your problem sorted out in the easiest way possible.

PM me if you need a shoulder. ;\)

echoing sparklee's sentiments ... i know how hard it is not to know what's going on - all the little stuff that you've been "dealing with" suddenly all seem like symptoms of something much worse than "that annoying thing my body does occasionally"

i am also a pm away

hope all goes well with your appointments and that you go in with a peaceful and open mind - and hopefully the doctors do as well so they can give you some answers

Went this morning and have the heart monitor now. It is less than comfortable, but thankfully it is only one day.

Mom2dolls, I hope you get answers very soon. Unfortunately, all I have to offer is this (besides friendship). Knowing is half the battle, then you can go from there. It's worse not knowing. I'm glad you're getting care and tests are being taken. Please let us all know how you're faring. We will all wait for the test results with you. \:\)
