I'd love to have more than one ering/set! Not sure how my bf would feel about that but like the others have said, I'll wait till I get the first and then see how it goes smile

I'm a multi-ring girl, and I don't have any issues with that. My original ering is an Australian champagne diamond with a RB diamond either side in a yellow gold trellis setting. I wore a plain gold band on either side of it for ten years, it's a lovely set.
My upgraded set is a cushion cut in platinum with diamond eternity bands on either side, which I love too. Hubby has had a few cracks about the upgrade, nothing serious! I don't wear yellow gold anymore at all. I am keeping my original set to give to my daughter when she is older.
Now I'm looking at a Moissy set, something really out there. I think I'll change my set every ten years.
The true basis of a relationship isn't about the dress, the wedding or the ring for me. But I know others won't agree.
In my family, only my sister-in law wears her original ering, all the rest are on version 2!

Good idea, probably during the engagement phase is not the best time to introduce your new hobby to the FH. LOL

I have my original engagement ring and wedding band. Unfortunately they don't match (we bought them separately). So we bought the band that is supposed to go with the ER and had them soldered together after we married.

Recently we bought an Asha to go with my original wedding band. My husband reproposed with the Asha.

Both sets hold special meaning to me now. smile

I only call one ring my ering but I have five that I wear as engagement rings. The way I look at it is that it saves wear and tear on my original ering. lol

I asked my fiancé what he thought about this......

I was shocked by his answer. He agreed that the ring I wear does not define whether I am his wife or not. He said styles change over time, so will your taste.

This surprised me. I expected him to want me to keep my ering and especially my future wedding band the same.

My personal opinion is I will always keep my wedding band, no matter what. I believe the band he puts on my finger as we say I do is irreplaceable.

We have been engaged since October, and are beginning to look for a new setting for my diamond. My original setting was never meant to be a forever setting. We put more into our stone. I honestly have no idea where to start with a new setting. Eek lol
