I am for Asha's 100%. I've had unenhanced moissanite and purchased an Amora (enhanced) moissanite hoping to LOVE the Amora, but I'm hyper-color sensitive and couldn't get over the color and the double-refractiveness. It's not very diamond-like at all.
This is always a split between members. I am for Amora Moissanite 100%. Because I am also color sensitive, I can't get past the super-white of Asha and feel that it looks glassy and therefore not very diamond-like. I also love the sparkle of my Moissy and feel that my Asha is rather lifeless in comparison. Lastly, there is depth, which is a hard concept to explain if you haven't seen it, but my Moissy looks more solid and rock-like than my Asha.
Asha's for me are VERY diamond-like and harder to tell the difference without diamond testers and such. Most jewelers will take one look at moissy and know it's not a diamond. While they look at Asha's and can't believe it's not a diamond.
I have had many jewelers say, "No way" when I tell them my Moissy is not a diamond. It isn't until they put it under magnification and tip it at an angle that they can see the double refraction. My Asha, on the other hand, has been identified as a non-diamond more often because it is "too perfect."
Keep in mind that when you are wearing your ring, none of this really matters. 99.5% of the population doesn't know the difference in the least, even if they examine your stone instead of just looking at it casually. Basically no one outside of boards like these has a clue what double refraction even is, much less that it can't be seen without a loupe and education.
The bottom line is what you love for yourself. It is your ring and your enjoyment, not anyone else's. Is there a way that you can order one of each loose so that you can see them in person and find out which one you prefer? Then you can return the one that doesn't quite cut it for your personal tastes.
