Hi everybody!i recently got engaged and my ring is 1.5ct RB amora. i dont know if its bc im super color sensitive or bc its set in diamonds that it gives off a noticable buttery tinge. im not sure what company it was ordered from bc he went through our family jewler and they did it for him. so my questions are 1. are all amoras no matter what company they come from engraved and 2. is the very faint butery tinge i see normal? ive seen pics of other amoras and they look icy white. im not complaing about the warmth i see as i wouldnt be able to pull of a colorless 1.5ct diamond. i feel as if i can put my mind to rest if i can see for sure we recieved an amora. i dont want to bother my fiance with a ton of questions about seeing the paper work bc he really did do a fab job on my ring, but dont amoras come with papers with thier color grading and all that? any and all feedback is super appreciated!! thank you!

All of the Amora's are made by BTD even if someone else sells it to you. They all come with a grading report and engraving.

Looking at the paperwork is sooooooo much easier than trying to see the engraving. It really shouldn't be a big deal to your fiance. After all, you should have the documentation on your ring.

yes, they are all laser inscribed on the girdle, as long as it's 6.5mm or bigger. depending on *when* it was purchased (not from where) it may say either MIRA or AMORA.

Thank you all sooo much!! I didnt know every amora out there started out at BTD, that's good to know! I am just going to ask him if he received anything that looks like that certificate. And if he didn't, I'll have him ask the jeweler why not. My OCD just wants to make sure he got what he paid for and I feel as if i can't let it go until I know it's for sure amora. Having only had the ring 3 days I think I am just getting used to the different colors it picks up as far as the faint yellow goes. I think that's why I second guess it being an amora. Face up in most lighting it shows a nice white. I adore it either way and will keep you posted with the verdict! Thanks again for all the info!

Most if not all of the 1.5ct Amora's are graded at an H, which is in the "near colorless" range and does have a little tint to it, we'll have to wait for the Amora Gem before we can get true colorless moissanite gems. In your situation though, I would totally want to make sure my fiance received an authentic item as well, you certainly want to make sure you received exactly what you paid for. smile And congratulations again!

Oh, and where are the hand shots? laugh laugh laugh

I have an "I" graded cushion moissanite and I do see a slight buttery tint in certain lighting (mostly outdoors in the shade or some really funky indoor lighting), but that's to be expected with a near colorless stone, even a diamond. Most of the time it faces up white or nearly white.

I would just nicely ask your fiance for any paperwork he might have gotten with the stone and/or ring. If nothing else, you'll need it for insurance purposes wink
