I warm up some water in a cup in the microwave for about a minute. then I add a little Mr. Clean. I let my stuff sit until the water cools and then I rinse them off with clean water.

Please tell me you put your ring (and/or others) into the cup AFTER you've heated in the microwave. Otherwise I'd have to say you're going a little far with the term "sparkly."
