So I just received my 8mm OMC asha last week. And I ordered my setting today which I am very excited about. However I am getting worried about having it put in the setting. I keep reading stories of jewelers scratching them up. Has anyone had GOOD experiences with their jewelers setting them...just to calm my nerves! : )

Hi there!
I recently had my Asha Asscher 9mm stone set by a jeweler in a solitaire platinum setting. Amazing! No problems whatsoever. I of course told the jeweler that it was an Asscher and not a real diamond. Without a loop - he could not tell it wasn't real!
The setting came out perfect and the stone looked as glorious as ever. Just make sure you go to a reputable jeweler and they are aware that it is an Asha stone!

I obviously meant I told the jeweler it was an ASHA (not Asscher!)

I had a jeweler set my asha (not even a reputable one!! ha) and he didn't mess the stone at all. I had him set a RB in an 18K setting. He had to rebuild the prongs, but the stone is still perfect. I did ask him beforehand if he dealt with CZs though, he said it wouldn't be a problem. Cost $75 to set/rebuild prongs.
