In Asha, I would definitely go cushion. WAY more realistic IMO. Step cuts in Asha are not loved by all, but I don`t htink anyone has ever said the cushion is fake looking.
Agreed. I wanted an Asscher cut so badly I could taste it. For years. I finally got it and I was never able to love it. There's something about step cuts in Asha that lacks a certain depth and solidity, and they can look "glassy" or CZ-like. And ohhhh, the cleaning. Asha as a substance tends to get dirty fast, and then the smoothness of a step cut shows every little thing. I could only keep mine looking nice for a few hours at a time.
That said, not everyone feels this way. Some people love them. So take this with a grain of salt.
If you can, order some loose stones from BTD in your top choices so that you can compare them in person. Then keep your favorite and return the other(s). It will cost you return shipping, but may be very well worth it for the peace of mind.
