LOL! I was in the middle of packing up my office for the move to my new MUCH smaller office. I WAS weary, to say the least, but I felt it an important message to share.

At least this box had a return address on it and instructions in it. We sometimes get a box with no address and no note, or something like, "Here is the ring we talked about, C.

Now, if it has been more than an hour or two since I talked with "C" it is more than likely I have talked about another ring with another "C", and if it has been a few days, like it always is, I may not remember what was talked about and for sure I do not remember who "C" is.

So, we put the job envelope in the safe and await until we get an angry email about where the heck is my ring and we ask if she might have signed a note with the letter "C". We have waited as long as six months before someone calls, then we have to tell them it will be two more weeks until we do the work.

Sigh.

Wink

I just picked up a ring and pendant from a local jeweler (simple stone setting) and he told me that they have some pieces from over 10 years ago that are still sitting in their safe from customers that never picked them up...... I can't imagine!!!!!!!!!!

Uh.. I deal with those bleeping boxes everyday at work. The self-stick tab USED to be enough. USPS changed the sticky formula. On a slightly warm day, the tab pops open in no time. So PLEASE use tape ladies!
