Amora Blue Moissanite

Blue Amora available in limited quantities in a stunning round cut.  With ideal cutting, these 'Peacock blue' Amora Moissanite display bold and beautiful color flashes.

Please note that these are 'natively' blue color due to their growth conditions.  These are not blue from a post-growth coating as nearly all 'blue moissanite' on the market currently is.  Thus, the peacock blue color is atomically part of the stone itself ensuring a lifetime and beyond of blue beauty.

The blue color is graded in fancy color diamond grading as 'Fancy Intense Greenish-Blue', or blue primary with green hints.  The result is a 'peacock blue' that varies in the amount of blue and green depending on the lighting.  We are working on increasing the blue saturation to later offer a 'true blue' color as well, however, the current color has received very good reviews from those that have seen it in person as it is striking and unique.

The blue color is created in a similar manner to blue diamonds - namely an additional element is present during growth (boron and/or aluminum) that is short one electron vs. the normal atomic elements (carbon and/or silicon).  This missing electron in these atoms, in both diamond and Moissanite, thus allows more freedom of movement for the remaining electrons in the finished crystal, producing the rare but sought after blue color.

These Amora Blue Moissanite gems are not at all affiliated with Charles and Colvard, and as a result, are cut better.
